The Rack House Steaks and Spirits

The Rack House Steak and Spirits is the brainchild of Gulf Coast Restaurant Group (GCRG) whose partners include Bob Taylor, Rob Heffner, Kevin Fish and Brian Raspberry.  They have dedicated much time and energy into creating this new concept.  From the fantastic made from scratch food including choice and prime steaks, lamb, short ribs, fresh fish and seafood, interesting appetizers and salads, The Rack House has something for everyone.   Our wine and liquor offerings will keep you coming back as we offer over 30 wines by the glass and over 100 bourbons, ryes, whiskeys and scotches.

A rackhouse by definition is a warehouse which distillers use to store and age their hundreds and thousands of barrels of these wonderful libations.  We have also started the first Bourbon Society on the Gulf Coast which brings its members together to share their love of the various bourbons, ryes, whiskeys and scotches which don our shelves.  We have decorated the restaurant to capture the look and feel of a rackouse and hope you enjoy the terrific ambiance it creates.

Meet jill Smith

As General Manager of Rack House Steaks and Spirits, Jill Smith takes pride in providing a great dining experience for each and every guest. Jill has been in the restaurant and service industry since she was 16 years old. She joined Gulf Coast Restaurant Group 12 years ago, and has been climbing the ladder ever since. She worked at Half Shell Oyster House as a server, front-of-house manager, kitchen manager, assistant general manager, and general manager before her role at Rack House. Jill has played a huge part in the success of Rack House, and she hopes to help expand the brand into new markets in the near future.

Under Jill’s leadership, Rack House has been nominated and awarded many awards such as Gulf Coast Woman’s Best Places to Eat 2021 and 2022, 228 Award, and Coast Observer’s Best Steak on the Coast Covey award 2021 and 2022.
